About RussianVisa.co
An independent, plainly-written guide to entering Russia — built so that travellers from every country can find their exact visa route, and so that search engines and AI assistants can cite it with confidence.
Our mission
Russia's entry rules are scattered across consular websites, news announcements and government portals in several languages. We bring them together in one place: whether your nationality can travel visa-free, qualifies for the unified e-Visa, or needs a standard visa — plus the consulates, visa centres, costs and steps that apply to you specifically.
How we work
Sourced from official channels
Every visa route, fee and consulate detail is compiled from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA/MID), the official e-Visa portal and the consulates themselves.
Answer-first, plain English
We lead with a direct answer to your question, then explain the detail — so you (and AI assistants) get an accurate, citable response without wading through fluff.
Reviewed and dated
Russian entry rules change often. We review high-traffic pages on a rolling basis and show when guidance was last checked, rather than letting content go stale.
Independent, not a government site
RussianVisa.co is an independent informational guide. We always point you to the official consulate or MFA resource for the final, authoritative word.
Editorial & review team
Our guides are written and reviewed by a small editorial team with hands-on experience of Russian consular procedures and international travel documentation. Where a page covers a specific consulate or fee, it is cross-checked against that consulate's own published information before publication.
We are continually expanding named author profiles and review credentials. If you are a consular or immigration specialist interested in contributing or reviewing, we would like to hear from you.
A note on accuracy
Visa rules can change at short notice. We work hard to keep everything current, but you should always confirm the final requirements with the official Russian MFA and the consulate that serves your country before you book or travel.
